Central Alabama Electric Cooperative is a not for profit, member-owned electric distribution utility serving more than 46,000 meters in a 10-county area of central Alabama just north of Montgomery. The cooperative’s service area covers most of the rural areas of Autauga, Elmore, Coosa and Chilton counties as well as members in Tallapoosa, Talladega, Bibb, Perry, Dallas and Lowndes counties. The cooperative is a $334 million company with 6,000 miles of electric distribution line and 2,000 miles of fiber line serviced by over 160 employees.

Our customers are both members and owners of our business. They are represented by a 10-member elected Board of Trustees that makes business policy and responds to member-owner needs and expectations. This provides our customers with a voice in our business decisions and keeps our company responsive to their needs and expectations

 

 

Statement of Nondiscrimination
