Youth Tour

CAEC believes in our future, and that includes providing the necessary tools for tomorrow’s leaders–today.

For generations, the Youth Tour program allows high school juniors the opportunity to join with fellow delegates and partake in leadership development, co-op education and the chance to meet their legislators. Held annually in March, the Montgomery Youth Tour is a three-day event where CAEC’s delegates join with over 150 students from across the state to see leadership and showcase legislation on the state level. From our Montgomery Youth Tour participants, several students are selected to participate in the Washington Youth Tour. As part of a state delegation of over 50 students, they join over 1,800 Youth Tour participants from across the country in our nation’s capital.

Applications are available beginning each September. Students participating in the Youth Tour program must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) or higher.
  • Demonstrate an active interest in community, civic and extracurricular activities.
  • Fill out an application.
