2019 Board Election Timeline

March 26

Trustees appoint Nominating Committee (Article IV, Section 4.05 of Member Bylaws).

April 12

Nominating Committee meets (Article IV, Section 4.05).

May 10

Nominating Committee posts slate of nominees for Districts 2, 5, 9 and At Large at all CAEC customer service centers and on CAEC’s website (Article IV, Section 4.05).

May 21

Nominations by petition must be received by 4:30 p.m. (Article IV, Section 4.05).


All nominations by petition will be verified and posted at CAEC customer service centers and our website (Article III, Section 3.03).


Alabama Living magazine will include all candidates’ names and the mail-in ballot.

July 22

Record date for voting (Article III, Section 3.07).   Must be a member by this date in order to vote.


Magazine will include CAEC’s 2018 Annual Report. If you choose to vote at Annual Meeting, please bring your registration form to the meeting.

August 2

Deadline for mail-in ballot to be postmarked  (Article III, Section 3.03).

August 9

Annual Meeting: CAEC’s, West Operations Center, 74 CR 578, Verbena, one-half mile west of Exit 200 on I-65. (4 p.m. registration, 6 p.m. business session).  Election results will be announced.
