On Feb. 17, CAEC hosted students from the Elmore County Technical Center (ECTC) to experience a half-day event “shadowing” professionals. The students were exposed to the working world in their field of interest, observing CAEC employees during a normal work day to gain a first-hand look at the skills, knowledge and education required to succeed in their chosen careers. The students were accompanied by ECTC staff members, Dr. Jimmy Hull, Career Technical Director and Lindsay Jordan, Career Coach for Elmore County Schools. The schools represented were Wetumpka, Holtville and Elmore County High Schools.
“We want to do our part to help make an impact on these students so they can succeed in their future professions,” said CAEC President and CEO Tom Stackhouse.
