On the morning of Thursday, Feb. 26, CAEC released 12 co-op employees to northwest Alabama to assist our sister cooperative, Tombigbee Electric Cooperative in restoring power to the more than 7,000 outages due to the heavy accumulation of nearly a foot of wet snow on trees and the cooperative’s distribution lines and poles.

The crews and six bucket trucks departed for the co-op, which serves approximately 10,000 members and will join additional cooperatives aiding in the power restoration efforts, and returned on Saturday morning.
