Vice Chairman
Mark Gray has served on the CAEC Board of Trustees since March 24, 2015. He was elected Secretary/Treasurer in August 2021. Gray has earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director certificate as well as his Board Leadership certificate from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Gray, along with the other CAEC Trustees, serves on the only Board in the nation to be 100 percent Board member commitment at the Leadership Circle level and spouse at the President’s Club level to the nonpartisan political action committee, Action Committee for Rural Electrification (ACRE).
He also currently serves on the Board of Central Access, Inc., the broadband subsidiary of CAEC.
Gray attended Auburn University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Science in 1992. Gray and his family are co-owners of Peach Park (opened in 1984), Gray and Sons Storage and Flea Market (opened in 1992) and Peach Park Express (opened in 2006) in Clanton.
Gray and his wife, Robin, are members of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Clanton, where he serves as a deacon and trustee. He and his wife, Robin, a retired math teacher at Jemison High School, have two sons, Tanner and Caden.
