Chase Riddle of Prattville has served on the Cooperative’s board since May 1994 and served in the positions of Vice Chairman from 1995 to 2002 and as Chairman from 2002-2015. Riddle has earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director and Board Leadership certificates as well as the Director Gold certificate awarded by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Riddle, along with the other CAEC Trustees, serves on the only Board in the nation to be 100 percent Board member commitment at the Leadership Circle level and spouse at the President’s Club level to the nonpartisan political action committee, Action Committee for Rural Electrification (ACRE).

He represents CAEC on the Board of Trustees of PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, CAEC’s power supply cooperative and serves as the PowerSouth Board representative on the Alabama Rural Electric Association (AREA) board.

Riddle holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Troy University in Public School Administration and Supervision as well as an Administrative Endorsement in Career and Technical Education. He served as a coach and teacher in the Autauga County School system for five years and later served as Director of Career/Technical Education for the Autauga County school system, and as Director of the Autauga County Technology Center until his retirement in May 2012.

Riddle is a past board member of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce; Autauga County Rural Development board; Autauga County Cattlemen’s Association; and former Chairman of the Prattville YMCA Board of Directors.

He and his family have been members of the co-op since 1977. He and his wife, Sue, have four children and ten grandchildren. They are members of the First United Methodist Church of Prattville.
