Jimmie Harrison Jr. of Maplesville has served on the cooperative’s Board of Trustees since August 1999 and held the position of Vice Chairman from 2002 until 2015. Harrison has earned his Credentialed Cooperative Director and Board Leadership certificates, as well as Director Gold certificate awarded from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Harrison, along with the other CAEC Trustees, serves on the only Board in the nation to be 100 percent Board member and spouse at the Presidential level of commitment to the nonpartisan political action committee, Action Committee for Rural Electrification (ACRE).
A farmer since 1957, Harrison operates Jimmy’s Peach Stand with his wife, Alice Faye and family. Harrison is on the board of the Chilton County Farmers Federation and is a former member of the Chilton County Industrial Development Board. He also served as Senior Vice President of Peachtree Bank in Maplesville from 1981 to 2001. Harrison is an active member of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife, Alice Faye, have four children, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In 2002, the family was recognized as the Chilton County Farm Family of the Year. They are members of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Maplesville
