2017 Board Election Timeline

March 28

Trustees appoint Nominating Committee (Article IV, Section 4.05 of Member Bylaws).

April 14

Nominating Committee meets (Article IV, Section 4.05).

May 12

Nominating Committee posts slate of nominees for Districts 1, 4 AND 6 at all CAEC customer service centers and on CAEC’s website, www.caec.coop (Article IV, Section 4.05).

2017 Slate of Board Nominations

May 23

Nominations by petition must be received by 4:30 p.m. (Article IV, Section 4.05). Posted upon verification.


All nominations by petition will be verified and posted at CAEC customer service centers and our website, www.caec.coop (Article III, Section 3.03).


Alabama Living magazine will include all candidates’ names and the mail-in ballot.

July 27

Record date for voting (Article III, Section 3.07). Must be a member by this date in order to vote.


Magazine will include CAEC’s 2016 Annual Report. If you choose to vote at Annual Meeting, please bring your registration form to the meeting.

August 4

Deadline for mail-in ballots to be postmarked (Article III, Section 3.03).

August 11

Annual Meeting, West Operations Center, 74 CR 578, Verbena, one-half mile west of Exit 200 on I-65. (4 p.m. registration, 6:00 p.m. business session) Election results will be announced.
